S.P.H.E.R.E. Flight Computer
S.P.H.E.R.E. : Stabilized Propulsion & High-altitude Exploration Rocket Electronics is the custom avionics system powering every Daksh Aerospace mission. Designed, coded, and built in house, S.P.H.E.R.E. is the central nervous system of our rockets, combining intelligent decision-making with precise real-time data handling.
Built around the versatile ESP32 microcontroller, S.P.H.E.R.E. integrates a suite of high-accuracy sensors:
• A barometric pressure sensor for altitude estimation
• An IMU for orientation, rotation, and acceleration data
• Temperature sensors for thermal monitoring
• GPS for live positional tracking
• A microSD module for storing high-frequency flight logs
Every data point feeds into S.P.H.E.R.E.’s mission software, which operates through four autonomous flight states:
Ground-Stable State – System checks, calibration, and launch readiness
Lift-Off State – Real-time telemetry and ascent tracking
Descent State – Controlled fall and sensor-driven safety logic
Touch-Down State – Final data logging and system shutdown
S.P.H.E.R.E. is designed to be modular, lightweight, and resilient, allowing us to evolve quickly as each mission teaches us more. Whether powering Vibhuti Mk-I or future vehicles, S.P.H.E.R.E. embodies our commitment to smart, accessible flight technology.
